We put viewers in control of how they watch TV, and bring them their favourite shows in stunning high definition. We connect people to each other and to the world with our broadband and phone services.
Because we never forget that Sky is a choice, we put customers first and work hard to earn their trust. We make our products affordable so millions can join in. And we back it all up with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Pay and benefits
We’re big believers in recognising great work. And we’re just as passionate about rewarding it. All our employees enjoy free Sky+ and broadband, a Sharesave plan, private healthcare, a pension plan and great holiday entitlements. Whatever good cause you want to support, we’ll also help you with time off, donations or help raising funds.
Promotion and development
The people at Sky are critical to our ability to meet the needs of customers and achieve our goals . We aim to create a culture of opportunity that encourages talented people to join us and helps them to aim high. We believe in investing in our people to help them reach their full potential. In an industry where change happens at lightning speed, we shape our training and development and support programmes to ensure we stay right at the cutting edge.
Company culture
Sky’s values are the foundation of our culture ? defining our products and services and the way we relate to each other and our customers. Our energy and innovation is reflected in everything we do. We work together in an open way to engage customers and each other.
Diversity, social responsibility
Sky delivers some of the most diverse content and services and we value the same diversity within our business. Seeing the bigger picture is part-and-parcel of the way we do business. That’s why we’re committed to playing our part in the communities where we live and work. As well as striving always to do the right thing in day-to-day business, we focus on three areas where we believe Sky can make a positive contribution: tackling climate change; increasing participation in sport; and bringing the arts to more people. This year, our partnership with British Cycling has brought mass-participation Skyride events to five cities across the UK.
Environment and sustainability
We play our part in tackling climate change and inspiring customers to do the same. In the last four years we’ve reduced our carbon emissions by 16% across the group. Now we’re partnering with WWF to launch Sky Rainforest Rescue, a campaign to save a billion trees in the Amazon.
Innovation
Ever since we launched 20 years ago, we’ve kept moving forward and pushing at boundaries, whether it’s introducing more competition to TV, transforming the way sport and news are broadcast, giving people more of the movies they love. Next year we’re launching the UK’s first 3D channel, which means there’s never been a more exciting time to join us.
